Job Description:
The University of Florida Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Chief of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology. This is a faculty position in the non-tenure or tenure track with the rank of Associate/Full Professor. The applicant should be board-certified in Pediatric Rheumatology. Rank and tenure will be commensurate with qualifications.
The Division Chief will be responsible for program development in all areas of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology, in addition to patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings, teaching of pediatric fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as conducting research and supervising the division’s large research program that includes investigator-initiated, registry and pharma funded investigations.
The Division has three board-certified pediatric rheumatologists as well as six pediatric rheumatology APRNs and two LPNs, providing comprehensive care to children and adolescents throughout Florida. Our center of excellence is among the largest in the state and the only ACGME-approved program in Florida providing pediatric rheumatology fellowship training.
The Department of Pediatrics clinical services are delivered at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, which was named one of the best Children’s Hospital in Florida in the U.S. News & World Report rankings. Nationally ranked in five pediatric specialties, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital provides the full spectrum of pediatric specialty services and is among the Top 5 children’s hospitals in the Southeast US.
Applicants must have a M.D. degree or equivalent, be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida, and be board certified in Pediatric Rheumatology.
