Hartford HealthCare, via the St. Vincent's Medical Center group, seeks a Chief of Infectious Disease to lead the integrated ID team in Bridgeport, CT.

The role reports to the System Director of Infectious Disease and directs a four-physician department while collaborating with 25 ID physicians across the system. The position includes inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, teaching residents and medical students, and a potential Adjunct/Assistant Professor appointment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree is required.
• Board Certification in Infectious Disease is required.
• Eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure is required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Grow the Section of Infectious Disease.
• Establish communication with all service lines for support.
• Mentor junior faculty.
• Oversee hospital epidemiology with Infection Prevention.
• Collaborate with Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacists.
• Provide inpatient consultations at St. Vincent's Medical Center.
• Manage outpatient HIV, Hepatitis C, STDs, and travel medicine.
• Coordinate system-wide with 25 ID physicians.
