U.S. News & World Report is seeking a market-facing analytics leader to own the analytics behind licensed data products, benchmarking tools, and client-facing dashboards.

This role will supervise data analysts working with patient-level claims data, apply method outputs to client-facing metrics, and drive the evolution of AI-enabled health data solutions. Formación

• Minimum 10 years in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or client-facing data/analytics roles.
• Prior experience at a healthcare benchmarking, analytics, consulting, or data-licensing company.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
• Strong SQL and BI tool fluency (Tableau, Power BI, or similar); comfortable owning dashboards and data pipelines for commercial products.
• Experience translating complex or technical data into client-ready deliverables — reports, presentations, self-service tools.
• Track record supporting sales, business development, or client success teams with custom analysis under time pressure.
• Team leadership experience managing data scientists and analysts
• Experience with healthcare quality measurement concepts (risk adjustment, benchmarking, percentile rankings) sufficient to use methodology outputs correctly — without needing to design or defend the methodology itself.
• Experience building or scaling a licensed data product from early-stage to broad commercial adoption.
• Familiarity with hospital sales cycles and how health-system data/quality departments evaluate benchmarking tools.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain the analytics behind licensed data products, benchmarking tools, and client-facing dashboards.
• Direct and supervise data analysts working with patient-level claims data both inside and outside the CMS VRDC environment.
• Translate methodological outputs and entire data sets into client-facing metrics that are intuitive.
• Scope new analytics-driven offerings based on client demand and market gaps.
• Define new analytics use cases for data outside the rankings pipeline and determine product/form.
• Identify data assets worth acquiring or partnering for and build the business case.
• Own the data pipeline requirements and prioritization that the engineering team executes against.
• Evaluate vendor and data-partnership options (build vs. buy) with legal/compliance and product/engineering.
• Track data investments by usage, client value, revenue and sunset or reprioritize as needed.
• Lead development of new analytics and AI/ML/Data Science solutions across healthcare markets.
• Track competitive use of AI in benchmarking and provide leadership with recommendations.
• Manage a team of data scientists and analysts and represent Applied Analytics in roadmap planning.
• Support sales with custom analyses and benchmarking cuts during the sales cycle.
• Build reusable analytic assets for prospecting and client success teams.
• Field client questions about performance and drivers, escalating methodology validity when needed.
