Job summary

Chamberlain Advisors seeks a Chief of Estimating in Chicago to lead the centralized estimating function, mentor a growing team of estimators, and drive the cost discipline across multiple sectors. This executive role requires deep estimating mastery, strong in-seat leadership, and the ability to scale technology-enabled processes to support Richard Group’s growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive estimating experience in commercial and vertical construction.
• Experience leading a team of estimators and cost databases.
• Mastery across building types and trades with defensible cost opinions.
• Experience in both hard-bid and negotiated work environments.
• Fluency with modern estimating technology and ERP integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead centralized estimating function as a single source of truth for cost intelligence.
• Partner with CEO and operations to align budgets and reporting.
• Standardize estimating tools, templates, and processes for consistency.
• Own quantity takeoffs, cost modeling, pricing, and bid analysis.
• Deliver numbers in a usable, defendable format for buyouts and operations.
