Nuvance Health is seeking a Chief of Neuro-oncology to lead a network-integrated program with clinical responsibilities at Danbury and Norwalk Hospitals in Connecticut, as well as Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Our system covers suburban Fairfield County and the Hudson Valley region of New York, approximately one hour from New York City.
The Chief of Neuro-oncology will report to the system leader of the Nuvance Cancer Program and will oversee the development and quality of services for brain and spine tumor evaluation and treatment, including benign and malignant diseases, primary and metastatic cancers, and neurologic disorders related to oncology. Responsibilities include establishing practice standards, organizing tumor boards, pathways, clinical trials, recruitment, and budgeting. The Chief will collaborate with neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, and radiation oncologists across the system.
This employed position is part of Nuvance Health Medical Practice within the newly formed Nuvance Health network, which includes seven hospitals across the Hudson Valley and Western Connecticut. Outpatient facilities include Praxair Cancer Center (Danbury), Whittingham Cancer Center (Norwalk), and Dyson Center for Cancer (Poughkeepsie). Leadership skills are preferred. The ideal candidate will have fellowship training, certification in neuro-oncology, and at least 3 years of experience.
