Qualifications

• Advanced degree in meteorology or closely related physical science.
• 10+ years in meteorology with at least 5 years communicating forecasts to public.
• Proven leadership, cross-functional teams, high-pressure decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Network Authority: principal decision-maker for high-stakes, network-imperative meteorological calls.
• Accuracy & Standards: ensure scientific accuracy across scripts, graphics, and published media.
• Performance Coaching: provide feedback to On-Camera Meteorologists on science communication and forecast accuracy.
• Innovative Experiences: guide scientific voice for Immersive Mixed Reality (IMR) experiences.
• Daily Intelligence Briefings: lead meteorological briefings to guide daily story selection.
• Breaking News Liaison: bridge between meteorology and editorial teams during fast-moving events.
• Message Alignment: align internal analysis with clear external messaging.
