Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Chief Medical Officer to lead the medical staff and hospital leadership in delivering high-quality, cost-effective care across our North Central Indiana facilities. You will collaborate with executive teams and physician leaders to implement strategic plans, physician relationships, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited medical school and completed residency in a medical specialty.
• Board certification in an ABMS board and commitment to maintain it.
• Experience leading medical staff quality initiatives and quality improvement programs.
• Ability to work in a complex matrix reporting environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the medical staff and hospital leadership to drive quality and cost-effective care.
• Direct medical staff development, recruitment, and physician relationships across facilities.
• Chair committees and collaborate with executive leadership to implement strategic plans.
• Develop and implement physician Continuous Quality Improvement processes.
• Set goals and development plans for key medical staff across the RHM.
• Lead service line development and physician relationships in alignment with Trinity Health standards.
• Engage in Managed Care strategies and negotiations with senior leadership.
