Job summary

ARTEMIS EXECUTIVE PARTNERS is seeking an EVP, Clinical Services / Chief Medical Officer for a Federally Qualified Health Center in Houston. This on-site, full-time role reports to the President/CEO and directs medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services with a focus on quality, compliance, and population health.

The executive will shape enterprise strategy, mentor clinical leaders, and drive value-based care initiatives while maintaining direct clinical involvement as appropriate.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification required.
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility for Texas licensure.
• Minimum of five years clinical experience and three years of management/leadership experience.
• Experience within an FQHC or mission-driven healthcare environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for clinical services, aligning with mission and Board priorities.
• Establish and monitor clinical, quality, operational, and performance goals.
• Advise CEO and Board on clinical strategy, trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Partner with executive leaders to improve organizational performance and patient outcomes.
• Represent the organization with community partners, regulators, and external stakeholders.
• Lead recruitment, development, and engagement of clinical providers.
• Coach clinical leaders to strengthen performance and professional development.
• Foster a collaborative, patient-centered culture across disciplines.
• Lead clinical quality improvement, patient safety, risk management, and infection prevention initiatives.
