An established industry player is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to lead clinical outcomes improvement and patient-centered care at a prominent facility. Located in Birmingham, AL, we are seeking a Chief Medical Officer for a ~450 bed facility. This facility is Joint Commission accredited and provides a wide array of healthcare services, including:
- Level III Trauma Center
- Certified Comprehensive stroke center
- Comprehensive Cardiac and Stroke program
- Accredited bariatric surgery center
- Comprehensive Imaging Services for inpatient and outpatient services
- Accredited Robotic Surgery
The goal of the Chief Medical Officer role is to set the vision and agenda for improvement in clinical outcomes, as well as resource utilization, patient-centered care coordination, and patient experience so as to optimize the quality of care through rigorous outcomes measurement, data analytics, and performance improvement processes. The Chief Medical Officer will manage the creation, updating, and implementation of quality and safety standards and processes for the hospital to ensure consistency and continuity with the goal of reducing inappropriate variation. The Chief Medical Officer will be a member of the hospital's executive team and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Requirements:
- Board Certification or has been Board Certified
- Minimum of 10 years of post-training practice experience
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with an M.D. or D.O. degree
- Has or can obtain an Alabama Medical licensure
- Preferred, degree in a master's level program (MBA, MPH, MMM, etc.)
Considered candidates must have current leadership experience in an acute care hospital setting and must be able to relocate to the area.
