Job summary

Treasure Health, based on Florida's Treasure Coast, seeks a physician executive to lead clinical strategy, program development, and quality initiatives. The CMO leads clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and forward-thinking care innovations across the organization.

The role reports to the CEO and partners with executive leadership to shape strategy and growth while living in a coastal community with a values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with board certification (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related specialty).
• Active or eligible Florida medical license.
• 5+ years of clinical experience, with proven ability to guide clinical strategy across palliative care and serious-illness management.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction across all care services.
• Lead the identification, design, and implementation of new clinical programs and service lines, staying current on emerging healthcare models, payment structures, and best practices.
• Own regulatory compliance and quality performance — monitoring outcomes, safety, and documentation standards, and ensuring survey and audit readiness.
• Set and enforce clinical practice standards for physicians and APRNs, addressing performance through coaching and structured improvement.
• Drive strategic growth through new service lines, community partnerships, and referral relationships.
• Represent the organization externally as a clinical ambassador to hospitals, SNFs/ALFs, and physician partners.

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is Treasure Health's senior physician executive, driving clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and forward-thinking program development. Required

• MD or DO degree with board certification (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related specialty)
• Active or eligible Florida medical license
• 5+ years of clinical experience, with proven ability to guide clinical strategy across palliative care and serious-illness management.

Preferred

• Prior leadership role (Medical Director, Associate CMO, or similar)
• Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) and experience with value-based care models
• A track record of launching new clinical programs or initiatives
