Base pay range

$300,000.00/yr - $350,000.00/yr

Title: Chief Marketing Officer

Salary: Up to $350,000 + Bonus, Equity and Benefits

Location: Remote - travel required monthly

We are partnering with our client, a respected leader in the Cosmetics and Beauty Supply sector. This organization is dedicated to crafting high-quality personal care products that foster beauty and well-being. Their commitment to innovation and sustainability drives them to deliver an extensive array of beauty solutions that not only meet customer needs but also encourage self-expression and confidence.

This organization is in search of an innovative Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to spearhead their marketing strategies and initiatives. This executive-level position requires the ability to oversee all marketing functions, enhance brand awareness, and ensure that marketing efforts align seamlessly with the company’s overarching objectives. The ideal candidate will be an effective leader with extensive expertise in the beauty industry, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to boost market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and scale digital and ecommerce growth via optimization of paid media strategies, SEO/SEM, CRM and email marketing.
  • Enhance brand positioning and awareness through creative campaigns and initiatives.
  • Support the Creative team to develop digital assets for advertising, socials, affiliate program and in-store activation's.
  • Partner with the sales team and finance to monitor sales performances and assess market trends to estimate potential areas for growth and market development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders across the industry such as Ulta, Target, Amazon and more.
  • Leverage data and consumer insights to inform strategy, track performance and continuously refine marketing efforts for a greater impact.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of market trends and consumer insights to uncover opportunities for growth.
  • Lead a team of 10 reports, fostering collaboration and accountability across brand marketing, ecommerce and creative functions.

Key Requirements:

  • Must have 10+ years of experience of marketing leadership in high growth environments in the Beauty industry and operated at the CMO level previously.
  • Proven success in Founder led or PE backed organizations with the ability to navigate a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Expertise in omni-channel marketing with good understanding of retail channels such as Target, Ulta, Sephora and DTC.
  • Experience in strategic oversight and development of SEO/SEM, CRM, Influencer/UGC, web analytics and brand activation's.
  • Capabilities to design and implement forward thinking marketing strategies which balance short-term revenue growth and long-term brand building.
  • A skilled mentor, with previous experience fostering high-performing team culture.
  • Strong analytical mindset and reporting to Founders/CxO's required.
