Getting the Job Done:

  1. Provide guests and team members with professional, efficient, courteous and genuine hospitality.
  2. Demonstrates a leadership ability that inspires and empowers team members to succeed, grow and develop.
  3. Lead your team to anticipate guest’s needs and offer services without being asked.
  4. Daily management of the Maintenance department which includes but is not limited to; scheduling, assigning work orders, maintaining logs of all tests, inspections and repairs, supervising, training, coaching and counseling the team.
  5. Maintains the Hotel’s physical, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems ensuring they are properly functioning.
  6. Ensure the cleanliness, security and organized storage of all department tools and equipment.
  7. Ensure security and preventative maintenance in compliance with property specific best practices and Brand standards.
  8. Maintain open and professional communication with other department heads and supervisors to ensure the needs of the guests and team members are addressed timely.
  9. Ensure all budgets are managed properly and within the guidelines; timely communicates all repairs that were not planned in the budget process to the GM.
  10. Monitors Brand Service Scores and ensures the property is at or above the Brand average for overall experience.
  11. Provides both informal and formal assessment of team members in alignment with the performance development policy and procedures.
  12. Participates in the Property’s Manager on Duty program as needed and understands the role of being a property leader.
  13. Respond to after-hour calls as needed and be able to work nights, weekends and Holidays as needed.
  14. Ensures team members attend all mandatory meetings and complete all the required training.

Experience for Success:

  1. 2 years of Maintenance experience.
  2. High School diploma or equivalent.
  3. Trade and Technical certifications a plus.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; second language a plus.
  5. Comfort in using a computer.
  6. Strong General Management skills and a willingness to be a property leader.
