Ring Inc. is seeking a Chief Mechanical Officer to oversee locomotive fleet maintenance, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. You will ensure safety standards, optimize power usage, and minimize downtime across the fleet, enabling reliable service.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership of mechanical teams, advanced troubleshooting, and adherence to EPA regulations. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential in this senior leadership position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years (8-10 preferred) of locomotive mechanical maintenance and railroad operations.
• Proven ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Deep understanding of EMD & GE locomotive systems and engine platforms (Cummins, MTU).
• Comprehensive knowledge of CFR Title 49 and Blue Card documentation; EPA record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Maintain adherence to CFR Title 49; oversee Blue Card documentation and audits.
• Technical Leadership: Serve as SME for EMD and GE locomotives; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Fleet Management & Optimization: Monitor fleet usage to maximize power availability and minimize fuel consumption; plan maintenance schedules.
• Environmental Stewardship: Ensure EPA compliance for Tiered Emission locomotives and internal sustainability goals.
• Training & Mentorship: Develop and deliver technical training for maintenance staff and EPA compliance.
