Job summary

The Maryland Department of Health seeks a Chief of Local Health Strategy and Infrastructure to align state and local health policy and program implementation. The Chief will guide 24 local health officers and provide policy and operational oversight for a multi-billion dollar portfolio and thousands of state employees.

Reporting to the Deputy Secretary for Public Health Services, the role requires strong leadership, governance, and the ability to coordinate across MDH leadership to integrate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of administrative or professional health and human services experience, including three (3) years at a supervisory or managerial level.
• Master's degree substitutes for one year of general experience; Doctorate substitutes for two years.
• Note: Additional experience substitutes on a year-for-year basis for the college degree.
