The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) seeks a Chief of the Legislative Affairs Division, Office of Public and Governmental Affairs (PGA) to lead the legislative affairs program in the Nation's capital.
You will coordinate with the Department of Justice, Members of Congress, their staffs, and committees overseeing ATF to advance Bureau goals and ensure effective congressional engagement.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Chief of the Legislative Affairs Division, Office of Public and Governmental Affairs (PGA) for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives(ATF) and is responsible for developing, implementing, and directing the legislative affairs program, ensuring harmonious relationships with officials from the Department of Justice, Members of Congress, their staffs, and those committees that oversee the work and resources of the Bureau.
To qualify for this position at the GS-15 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 by the closing date of this announcement.
