Job summary

The Office of Special Counsel (OSC) in Washington, DC, seeks a senior IT Specialist to join the Information Technology Office (ITO). You will oversee enterprise IT services, cybersecurity safeguards, and IT operations across OSC’s networks, eDiscovery, and collaboration tools to support agency objectives.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate leadership, policy development, long-range IT planning, and ability to guide a team to deliver reliable IT services in a federal environment.

Qualifications

• IT-related experience that demonstrates each of the four competencies (Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving) at GS-14 level equivalent.
• Ability to oversee delivery of IT services through customer support.
• Experience presenting IT operation status to program officials.
• Experience providing recommendations on IT security issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance of OSC IT systems to align with operational objectives.
• Develop program policies to meet organization-wide IT requirements.
• Develop long-range IT plans to minimize IT system vulnerabilities.
• Provide direction to a team within a program or division.
