Job summary

Karbon is seeking a VP of IT & Security to own and shape the company’s internal IT, security, and compliance programs as we migrate from MSP to an in-house team. You’ll set strategy, lead a small SecOps group, and collaborate with executives across engineering, finance, and legal.

You’ll drive identity management, device policy, incident response, and risk management in a B2B SaaS environment, while building scalable processes and controls to protect enterprise data and customer trust.

Qualifications

• 12 years in IT and security with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience building or transitioning internal IT from MSP to in-house.
• Hands-on operational and security experience and ability to assist teams when required.
• Deep familiarity with SOC 2 and related compliance.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own Internal IT including device fleet, identity & access management and onboarding/offboarding.
• Define and own security tooling stack (EDR, SIEM, email security) and lead Application Security.
• Manage Governance, Risk & Compliance including SOC 2 program and audits.
• Own incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
