Job summary

Blackstone Talent Group is seeking a Director of IT Infrastructure to lead our multisite engineering services, product design, and manufacturing IT environment. This hands-on leadership role requires providing thought leadership, business acumen, and hands-on support to a hardware/software engineering community.

You will own the Company’s IT Infrastructure, oversee security, and manage a small team (2-3) while supporting critical applications like Google Workspace and PLM systems.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own IT Infrastructure across multiple locations with focus on secure, scalable, cost-effective solutions.
• Lead a small IT Infrastructure and Help Desk team (2-3 people) including hiring, training and mentoring.
• Support company-wide applications and services: Active Directory, Google Workspace, SolidWorks, Okta, Zoom, CrowdStrike, Arena PLM, QAD, AD, fileserver/storage, firewalls and switches.
• Oversee virtualization environments (Hyper-V, VMware) across locations, including server hardware, storage, configuration and capacity management.
• Manage production systems: backups, performance tuning, fault resolution, capacity planning, and root cause analysis.
• Improve infrastructure efficiency by discovery, evaluation and testing against best practices.
• Deliver projects on schedule and communicate issues proactively; handle Tier-2-3 escalated tickets as needed.
