Morrow Associates Ltd in the Greater Chicago Area seeks a Chief Investment Officer to lead investment strategy, capital allocation and major development, acquisition, disposition, and financing activities across a diverse commercial real estate portfolio.

This hands-on executive role requires a sophisticated real estate finance leader with experience structuring debt and equity, negotiating with banks and partners, and evaluating complex opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commercial real estate investment, finance, capital markets or development.
• Hands-on experience structuring and negotiating real estate debt financing.
• Strong understanding of equity structures, joint ventures and complex capital stacks.
• Experience with a privately held developer or owner/operator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead investment strategy and capital allocation for the organization.
• Oversee development, acquisition and disposition activities.
• Lead debt and equity financing, including construction and permanent financing.
• Negotiate with banks, lenders and capital partners.
• Oversee underwriting, financial analysis and risk/return evaluation.
• Maintain key relationships with lenders and investors.
• Provide oversight of major agreements and lead the investments team.
