Job summary

TGH Aviation in Auburn, California, seeks an experienced Chief Inspector to oversee all inspection and quality assurance activities at our FAA Part 145 Repair Station.

The role leads inspection personnel, ensures compliance with FAA and EASA requirements, and drives calibration, documentation accuracy, and continuous improvement while upholding safety and operational excellence. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in aviation maintenance, inspection, or quality assurance within a Part 145 Repair Station or aerospace maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, including Part 145 and Part 43.
• Experience interpreting maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, CMMs, and technical data.
• Proven leadership experience supervising inspection and quality activities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aircraft instruments, avionics, and related components.
• Verify maintenance activities are completed in accordance with approved data and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve maintenance releases, work orders, inspection reports, and return-to-service documentation.
• Monitor tooling, test equipment, and calibration systems for compliance and traceability.
• Manage the Repair Station’s quality assurance and inspection programs and conduct internal audits.
• Lead, mentor, and train inspection personnel and quality staff; promote safety and teamwork.
