Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ten years of professional experience in technology commercialization, innovation management, entrepreneurship, venture development, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional work with multiple stakeholders and long timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, operational processes, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Leads CETD as UTA’s central engine for entrepreneurship, research translation, and technology commercialization.
• Partners with University leadership to align CETD programming with institutional priorities and regional opportunities.
• Provides executive leadership for intellectual property, technology translation, licensing, startup formation, and commercialization portfolios.
• Oversees active licensing pipelines to position UTA technologies for market adoption.
• Builds and leads a faculty-engagement strategy to move researchers toward commercialization maturity.
• Provides strategic oversight for CETD’s student entrepreneurship portfolio and regional outreach.
