Job summary

Link Solutions, Inc. seeks a Chief Infrastructure Engineer for the Army Research Laboratory program in Adelphi, Maryland. The role on-site requires an active Secret clearance preference and a bachelor's in a related field.

The senior technical authority will guide modernization, cybersecurity, and strategic technology initiatives across enterprise infrastructure, cloud, and identity management, engaging government leadership with technical assessments and executive briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
• Twelve (12+) years of progressive experience in enterprise IT environments.
• Clearance: DoD Secret preferred or willing to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, macOS environments.
• Experience with architecture reviews, technology assessments, and modernization planning.
• Experience with IaC, automation, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical advisor on infrastructure modernization and technology strategy initiatives.
• Evaluate current infrastructure and processes to identify modernization opportunities and cost savings.
• Research emerging technologies and vendor solutions for DoD, research, and enterprise environments.
• Develop technical assessments, business cases, and executive briefings.
• Analyze technologies across Windows, Linux, macOS, identity services, networking, storage, and cloud.
• Develop modernization roadmaps aligned with mission, security, and budget requirements.
• Assist teams in troubleshooting complex issues and driving modernization initiatives.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technology evaluation efforts.
