Qualifications

  • Prior experience as Division CIO, VP IT, or comparable senior technology executive.

Our client, a leading technology products company, is seeking an accomplished Division Chief Information Officer (CIO) to serve as the senior technology executive for a significant operating business supporting commercial and federal customers.

Reporting into senior division leadership and serving as a member of the executive leadership team, the Division CIO will be responsible for aligning technology, digital transformation, cybersecurity, data, and enterprise systems with the strategic and operational priorities of the business.

This is a highly business-facing leadership role requiring an executive who can operate at the intersection of business strategy, technology, transformation, and defense program requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute the division’s IT and digital strategy in alignment with business priorities.
  • Lead modernization of enterprise applications, infrastructure, data platforms, digital capabilities, and technology architecture.
  • Partner with business leadership across operations, engineering, supply chain, finance, and program management to improve business performance.
  • Lead major technology-enabled business transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Provide executive leadership for cybersecurity, information protection, technology risk, and compliance within a defense-contracting environment.
  • Establish strong governance and prioritization across technology investments and transformation programs.
  • Advance automation, analytics, digital processes, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Build and develop a high-performing technology organization capable of supporting both current operations and future growth.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Significant senior IT leadership experience within a U.S. defense contractor or defense-focused business is required.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting businesses operating under U.S. government and/or Department of Defense contracts.
  • Prior experience as a Division CIO, Business Unit CIO, CIO, VP of IT, or comparable senior technology executive.
  • Proven track record leading enterprise technology transformation and modernization.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, information security, compliance, and technology risk within a defense-contracting environment.
  • Ability to operate as a business executive and trusted advisor to senior operating leadership.
