Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) seeks a visionary, transformational leader to serve as its inaugural Chief Impact Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, public administration, or related field (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience, including 3 years leading senior managers or multiple departments.
• Proven success leading fundraising or revenue strategy (major gifts, institutional funding, campaigns).
• Experience guiding communications, brand, or public engagement for a mission-driven organization.
• Working knowledge of data systems, evaluation, and technology support for program quality and funder reporting.
• Expertise serving communities of color, with a demonstrated commitment to the African American community.

Responsibilities

• Lead Executive Leadership Team and help shape agency strategy, priorities, and key decisions.
• Translate the 10-Year Growth Plan into goals, resource plans, and measures of progress for three departments.
• Oversee Development, Culture & Communications, and Data & Technology as an integrated division, aligning data, storytelling, fundraising and learning.
• Advise CEO on fundraising strategy, communications and data-informed decision making.
• Partner with other C-level leaders to present SEI as a unified organization to staff, funders and partners.
• Represent SEI with funders, civic leaders, media, and community partners as a trusted ambassador of the mission.
• Provide oversight of fundraising strategy and financial sustainability, guiding the team to meet targets across diverse sources.
• Cultivate and steward major donors, lead capital campaigns, and coordinate signature events like the SEI Gala.
• Ensure brand consistency, authentic storytelling, and a strong connection between development and communications.
