NU Advisory Partners is leading the search for a transformational strategy executive to guide enterprise growth, innovation, and change initiatives for a mission-driven, multi-site organization. This leader will define long-term strategic direction, drive modernization across digital and operational capabilities, and lead corporate development activities—including partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions. This is a pivotal, enterprise-level role designed to accelerate innovation, sharpen market positioning, and create scalable pathways for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Corporate Development

  • Define and lead enterprise strategy, identifying long-term growth opportunities, competitive shifts, and market entry points
  • Evaluate and lead new business opportunities including acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic alliances
  • Oversee the development of business cases, diligence efforts, and post-merger integration plans for acquired entities
  • Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the organization
  • Launch and lead initiatives focused on new delivery models, learning formats, and student experience enhancements
  • Align product and operational innovation with mission, growth, and financial sustainability
  • Drive enterprise digital strategy to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and learner outcomes
  • Introduce and scale emerging technologies to modernize digital infrastructure, platforms, and back-office systems
  • Partner across business units to ensure transformation efforts support both strategic and day-to-day needs

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership Alignment

  • Partner with academic, operational, and administrative leaders to align strategic initiatives with organizational priorities
  • Build trusted relationships across functions to ensure a unified approach to transformation and growth
  • Represent the strategy and innovation function internally and externally, positioning the organization as a future-ready leader

Change Management & Execution

  • Lead structured transformation programs across functions, managing scope, resourcing, and outcomes
  • Embed change management frameworks and ensure alignment with culture, communication, and leadership behaviors
  • Develop organizational readiness for change and foster cross-functional ownership for strategic initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

  • Senior leadership experience driving strategy, innovation, and business transformation within complex service organizations
  • Proven success in corporate development, including M&A, partnership structuring, and post-transaction integration
  • Track record of leading strategic planning cycles, cross-functional growth initiatives, and operational modernization efforts
  • Skilled at driving innovation initiatives from concept through execution in dynamic or regulated environments
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen, with experience aligning strategy to forecasting, budgeting, and enterprise performance metrics
  • High EQ with a collaborative leadership style and the ability to unite teams around shared goals
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to inspire confidence with executive teams, boards, and external stakeholders
  • Passion for student impact and a deep commitment to mission-driven leadership
  • Intellectually curious and future-oriented with the ability to scan, interpret, and act on trends and innovation opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business or public administration preferred
