CFOx partners with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and founder-led businesses across diligence, closing, and post-close finance execution, while also operating independently of transactions as an outsourced or embedded finance function.

The firm provides CFO and accounting support to drive financial oversight, execution, and scalability, alongside Quality of Earnings (QoE) and related financial diligence services. Position Overview

Note: To ensure proximity to key markets and ease of travel, candidate must reside within 50 miles of at least one of the following major airports: LGA, JFK, BOS, ORD, MDW, DEN, DFW, ATL, PHL, or MIA.

CFOx is seeking a Chief Growth Officer to lead the firm's commercial strategy and revenue growth initiatives. Reporting directly to the Co-CEOs, the CGO will be responsible for developing and executing a scalable growth strategy that strengthens referral channels, expands key relationships, enhances market visibility, and builds a repeatable business development infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is both a relationship builder and a systems thinker—capable of generating opportunities personally while also developing the processes, accountability, and commercial discipline necessary to scale the organization beyond founder-led growth.

Core Mandate:
  • Further establish CFOx as a leading middle-market advisor across CFO, Transaction, & Accounting Services
  • Drive firm-wide revenue growth and pipeline development
  • Build a scalable and repeatable business development engine
  • Expand CFOx's presence within the private equity ecosystem
  • Develop strategic relationships across PE firms, investment banks, lenders, attorneys, and other referral sources
  • Increase collaboration and cross-selling across service lines
  • Improve pipeline visibility, forecasting, and commercial accountability
  • Partner closely with the Head of Client Delivery to ensure growth objectives, resource capacity, service quality, and client outcomes remain aligned
Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
  • Develop and execute the firm's annual and multi-year growth strategy
  • Establish revenue goals, growth initiatives, and market expansion plans
  • Identify new service offerings, industries, and growth opportunities
  • Provide ongoing pipeline forecasting and reporting to firm leadership
Business Development & Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain executive -level relationships with:
  • Private equity firms
  • Closely-held businesses
  • Investment banks
  • Attorneys
  • CFOs and founders
  • Develop and oversee a formal relationship coverage program across private equity firms, investment banks, attorneys, CFOs, and founders, including target account planning, relationship mapping, and coverage responsibilities
  • Personally originate new business opportunities across all service lines
  • Support firm leadership in strategic pursuits and key relationships
Go-To-Market Infrastructure
  • Build and institutionalize CRM discipline and pipeline management processes
  • Develop target account strategies and relationship coverage models
  • Implement business development KPIs and activity reporting
  • Create accountability frameworks for commercial performance
  • Improve data-driven decision-making across the growth organization
Marketing & Brand Development
  • Partner with marketing leadership to improve market visibility and brand awareness
  • Oversee strategic event participation and sponsorship ROI
  • Support thought leadership, content development, industry awards, and speaking opportunities
  • Ensure marketing efforts align with firm growth objectives
Leadership
  • Partner closely with the Co-CEOs and service line leaders to identify growth opportunities
  • Work in close coordination with the Head of Client Delivery to balance revenue growth, resource planning, client outcomes, and firm profitability
  • Recruit, develop, and lead future business development, marketing, and growth personnel as the firm continues to scale
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to existing business development and marketing resources
  • Foster a culture of relationship-driven business development across the firm
  • Serve as a member of the executive leadership team
Success Metrics — Success in this role will be measured through:

Qualifications:
