Qualifications

• Basic qualifications include a PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree in genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience leading a clinical, translational, and/or basic research program with an independent, extramurally funded program (e.g., NIH R01).
• MD/PhD with clinical responsibilities must be board certified/eligible and hold or be eligible for California medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to the Division of Genomics and Precision Medicine.
• Drive cutting-edge research in human genomics and precision medicine with external funding.
• Develop and lead educational programs and mentor faculty, researchers, and trainees.
• Manage the Division's finances, budget, and personnel; represent the Division in meetings and committees.
