Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking an Executive Director, Financial Operations, to oversee CBP's financial management, accounting, internal controls, cash management, and debt management.

You will lead approximately 300 personnel in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Washington, DC, driving the development and maintenance of integrated financial systems and effective internal controls to produce reliable data.

Qualifications

• Senior executive leadership experience in financial management at GS-14/15 level or equivalent.
• Proven ability to manage accounting for a large government entity and coordinate audits.
• Resume-only process with a 2-page limit.
• CPA credentials or progress toward CPA are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management, accounting, internal controls, cash and debt management for CBP.
• Lead approximately 300 personnel in Indianapolis, IN and Washington, DC.
• Develop, implement and maintain a fully integrated cost accounting and financial management system with strong internal controls.
• Lead the preparation of annual reports to DHS and other required financial statements.
