Job description

The Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) will manage, maintain, and ultimately be responsible for all activities, responsibilities, achievements, and reporting of the Employer’s finance department and function. This includes the development and execution of financial procedures, policies, and controls, as well as overseeing the company's day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with strategic goals. The CFO/COO will provide financial oversight to ensure accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting systems and processes are in place and running effectively and assist and advise senior management with respect to financial projections and improvements to achieve financial performance targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding products, services, capabilities, infrastructure, and operations of the Employer and its affiliates, the marketplace, competition, strategic positioning, threats, and direction to achieve optimal insight and success.
  • Manage, maintain, and ultimately be responsible for all activities, responsibilities, achievements, and reporting of the Employer’s finance department and function, including:
  • Development and execution of financial procedures, policies, and controls, reporting, and maintenance of corporate accounting and financial records.
  • Financial and administrative oversight to ensure that accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting systems meet the needs of senior management, outside auditors, corporate counsel, and other appropriate constituencies.
  • Development, maintenance, presentation, and reporting of timely and accurate periodic (monthly/quarterly/annual) corporate and departmental projections, budgeting, and reconciliation.
  • Support and facilitation of achieving revenue and profitability goals of the Company.
  • Provision of timely and accurate periodic (monthly/quarterly/annual) closings and account reconciliations.
  • Timely and accurate payroll policies, procedures, and execution, and timely and accurate client invoicing and accounts receivable collection policies, procedures, and execution.
  • Analyzing, managing, overseeing, and negotiating the Company’s debt, credit facilities, cash, cash equivalents, cash flow, cost controls, treasury, and expenses.
  • Assisting and advising senior management with respect to financial projections and improvements to achieve financial performance targets.
  • Providing important input and checks and balances for salary and headcount strategies.
  • Facilitating the design, preparation, and delivery of customized management reports for senior management.
  • Ensuring that effective internal controls are in place and records are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Supporting the strategic financial vision and all related analysis, preparation, and execution issues regarding public listing, capitalization, and various additional strategic alternatives including, as applicable, the:
  • Management of company reporting, and provide oversight of financial contribution to, and review of reporting and internal controls, to ensure accurate and reliable reporting in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations; and
  • Development, management, maintenance, and ultimate responsibility for all accounting policies, processes and practices, including SOX financial and accounting controls, and reporting to regulatory entities, shareholders, and other relevant parties, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and provide guidance to the Company and applicable senior management regarding tax-planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and other corporate tax issues.
  • Serve as the primary executive responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Employer’s strategic transaction team, mergers and acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Employer and its auditors and independent valuation providers.
  • Serve as the primary executive responsible for procurement, selection, negotiation, and management of primary suppliers, vendors, real estate management, facilities management, and other third-party relationships.
  • Serve as the primary executive responsible for investor relations and related communications with shareholders, potential investors, and analysts.
  • Serve as the primary executive responsible for physical security, compliance, and oversight policies, processes, and adherence to such within the Company.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of banking relationships and provide guidance and support with respect to appropriate sources of financing and cash management.
  • Interact with senior management to provide consultative support to product and planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
  • Lead the Finance organization to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
  • Ensure operational activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote the Employer’s values and participate with Employer leadership in the strategic development of initiatives to identify enhancements which may improve products, services, operations, client appeal, process flow, and overall business function, industry reputation, and financial performance.
  • Maintain compliance with ComplexCare Solutions policies, procedures and mission statement.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within ComplexCare Solutions Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by ComplexCare Solutions for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience, including experience as a Chief Financial Officer, preferably in a global, growth-oriented business environment of scale.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare and provider environment.
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach senior-level staff to manage and develop high-performance teams.
  • Proven history of effective leadership in a matrix organization.
  • Significant experience with strategic planning, execution, and tracking to identify both success as well as challenges to meeting objectives.
  • Strong financial planning, budgeting and analysis skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset to ensure internal and external goals are aligned.
  • Excellence in communication with customer executive management team as well as the internal management team.
  • Adept at creative thinking and problem-solving.

Education:

  • BS/BA degree is required. MBA preferred.
  • CPA is required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time).
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force.
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions.
  • Travel for this position will include less than 25% as needed for job duties.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Base Compensation Range

$250,000 - $300,000 USD
