Job summary

The New Jersey State League of Municipalities seeks a highly capable Chief Financial Officer to oversee the Township’s financial operations, ensure fiscal integrity, transparency, and long-term sustainability. The CFO will lead budgeting, financial reporting, and cash management for the organization.

Candidates should have at least five years in municipal finance, supervisory experience, and familiarity with Edmunds, Microsoft Office, and Primepoint; NJ CMFO certification is required.

Chief Financial Officer

Is seeking a highly motivated Chief Financial Officer to oversee the Township’s financial operations and ensure fiscal integrity, transparency, and long-term financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing the budget.
• Preparing monthly financial statements for the governing body, AFS/ADS, and finance-related ordinances and resolutions.
• Overseeing accounts payable/receivable and grant and escrow accounts.

Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a strong knowledge of municipal finance laws.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years in municipal finance required, at least one of which shall have been in a supervisory role. A familiarity with Edmunds, Microsoft Office, and Primepoint is required. NJ CMFO required.

Fill-time Salary ranges from $130,000.00 - $165,000.00 to commensurate with experience, along with a competitive benefits package.
