Job summary

Lightship, the first American all-electric recreational vehicle manufacturer, seeks a seasoned Finance Leader to own FP&A, accounting, treasury and investor relations as the company scales production and expands manufacturing.

Reporting to the CEO, this role leads a four-person finance team, builds three-statement models, drives cost and margin discipline, and partners with leadership and the board to secure capital and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive finance experience, including leadership at a high-growth company.
• Deep expertise in FP&A, corporate finance and cash management for hardware/manufacturing.
• Hands-on product finance: BOM, cost accounting, inventory, COGS and margin analysis.
• Three-statement models ownership for a complex hardware business.
• U.S. GAAP knowledge, close processes, audits and internal controls.
• Clear communication with non-finance audiences and the board.
• Bachelor’s in finance, accounting, economics or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A and annual planning, owning the integrated financial model.
• Partner with leadership on pricing, market research and sourcing decisions.
• Oversee product finance, BOM management and cost accounting.
• Manage accounting policy, internal controls and GAAP compliance.
• Lead treasury, cash runway, banking relations and working capital.
• Drive fundraising and investor relations with co-founders.
• Design and scale finance systems and ERP; oversee tax and regulatory compliance.
• Provide board and executive reporting with KPI insights.
• Recruit and mentor a high-performing finance team (4 people).
