Muscle is seeking its first CFO to build the finance function from scratch and partner with the founders on strategy, pricing and growth. You will report to the CEO and shape the company’s financial roadmap as it scales from Miami and expands into new markets.

This role is remote within the Americas, with occasional travel to Costa Rica or Miami, and requires deep expertise in financial modeling, banking/payments knowledge, and AI-enabled finance tools.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in investment banking or private equity, now moving into tech.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Good understanding of the payments industry (interchange, acquiring fees, payment flows).
• AI-native: use AI tools daily in your work.
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Comfortable presenting to C-level bank executives.
• Based in the Americas (Miami, US East Coast or LATAM preferred).

Responsabilités

• Model the economics of our deals: interchange, acquiring fees, payment flows and redemption margins.
• Help shape pricing and commercial terms with bank and fintech clients.
• Join executive-level client meetings and dinners, and build strong relationships with bank leaders.
• Build the finance stack and processes using AI tools from day one.
• Prepare the company for its next stage of growth (Miami office, new markets, future capital options).

We help banks and fintechs control and optimize the economics of every points redemption in real time, so they save money and cardholders get more value. Our platform already powers millions of redemptions for clients like Banamex, Interbank, Banco General, AstroPay and dLocal.

The Role

You will be our first CFO, reporting directly to the CEO. This is a builder role: you will set up the finance function from scratch and become a key partner to the founders on strategy, pricing and growth.

What We’re Looking For

• 5‑8 years in investment banking or private equity, ideally now moving into (or already in) tech
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Good understanding of the payments industry (interchange, acquiring fees, payment flows)
• AI‑native: you use AI tools every day in your work, not just occasionally
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English
• Great people skills: comfortable in front of C-level bank executives
• Based in the Americas (Miami, US East Coast or LATAM preferred)

Nice to Have

• Open to relocating to Costa Rica
• Experience in fintech, banking or loyalty

Location & Travel

• Remote within the Americas (Miami, East Coast or LATAM preferred)
• Travel to Costa Rica or Miami 1-2 times per month

Compensation

• North America: around $250K base
• LATAM: around $150K base
• Equity: 1.5% - 2% in stock options
