Job description

About Us - Scaling the Future of Fractional Ownership

Experiential Squared (E2) is pioneering fractional ownership across sports and experiential assets. Our flagship platform, MyRacehorse (MRH), is the largest fractional thoroughbred ownership platform in the world, with 100,000+ owners and over 200 race wins, including the Kentucky Derby and Breeders' Cup Classic.

As we expand into new asset classes and international markets, we are building a world-class leadership team to support our next phase of growth.

The Role - Financial Architecture for Growth

We are seeking a hands-on, systems-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to architect the financial and operational foundation that will enable us to scale aggressively while maintaining rigorous compliance and operational excellence.

You will partner directly with the CEO and leadership team to modernize financial processes, lead strategic planning, and build a finance function capable of supporting both today's needs and tomorrow's ambitions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities :

  • Architect scalable financial processes across accounting, investor reporting, compliance, and cash management.
  • Lead modernization of financial systems, improving reporting cadence, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive monthly close processes, GAAP compliance, audit preparedness, and cross-entity consolidation (including Series LLC structures).
  • Strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with securities regulations (Reg CF, Reg A, Reg D).
  • Develop investor reporting frameworks to support fundraising (SAFE, Series A) and ongoing stakeholder communications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, product, marketing, and operations teams to align financial strategy with business execution.
  • Mentor and elevate an existing strong accounting team, optimizing for scale and performance.
  • Define and help develop key financial and operational KPIs to empower marketing, product, and sales teams to make faster, smarter decisions.

Who You Are :

  • 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience; VP of Finance, Controller, or emerging CFO profile preferred.
  • Proven track record designing and implementing financial systems and scaling operational infrastructure.
  • Strong technical accounting background (GAAP proficiency required; audit exposure preferred).
  • Experience with technology-enabled consumer platforms, financial services, or regulated industries is a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-obsessed, with a passion for operational excellence.
  • Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.

Why Join Us?

  • Build the financial foundation of a company while redefining ownership and fandom.
  • Partner directly with the CEO to shape strategic growth across multiple asset classes.
  • Lead with a clear mandate : architect scalable, resilient systems, not just manage the status quo.
  • Work alongside a talented, driven team passionate about creating a category-defining platform.

Compensation :

  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Equity participation
  • Full benefits package
  • Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate
