Nicely Co. is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to strengthen company strategy, organizational development, resource allocation, risk management, performance measurement, and scalable growth. This role will turn company priorities into clear, dependable work while partnering directly with colleagues across functions.Nicely Co. is an early-stage company, so this position will help create the processes and internal systems behind the work, not merely inherit a mature playbook. The successful candidate will use sound judgment, communicate tradeoffs, and operate with appropriate autonomy.Responsibilities may evolve as the company grows. Responsibilities
- Shape financial strategy in partnership with the Founder/CEO and translate company priorities into financial plans.
- Build practical budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, capital planning, and scenario-modeling disciplines.
- Oversee accounting readiness, financial reporting, controls, close practices, and the integrity of management information.
- Develop financial models for pricing, profitability, investment choices, hiring, and other executive decisions.
- Support responsible fundraising preparation, due diligence, investor materials, and ongoing financial communications without overstating company performance.
- Identify financial, operational, compliance, and liquidity risks and recommend proportionate mitigations.
- Establish useful KPIs and reporting cadences that help leaders understand performance and act early.
- Evaluate vendors, systems, and processes needed for a secure and scalable finance operation.
- Advise the Founder/CEO and executive peers with independent judgment, clear analysis, and constructive challenge.
- Define the finance roadmap, policies, controls, responsibilities, and future team structure.
- Recruit, develop, and lead future finance team members as company needs justify growth.
- Balance financial discipline with the speed and adaptability required in an early-stage company.

- Judgment and ownership appropriate for the Chief Financial Officer scope.
- Strong written and verbal communication with both specialists and cross-functional partners.
- Ability to organize ambiguous work, make progress independently, and document decisions.
- Comfort building systems in an early-stage environment where priorities may evolve.

- Previous leadership experience strongly preferred, including setting priorities and developing people.
