Job description

Ready to be the CFO who sits at the decision-making table, not just reports to it?

An established, multi-site material handling and industrial solutions company based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with operations across the U.S. and Canada, is looking for its next Chief Financial Officer. They are seeking a strategic, highly credible, and people-centered CFO to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will provide financial leadership, enterprise-wide business insight, and trusted guidance to the CEO, Board of Directors, investors, and key stakeholders.

This role requires a dynamic leader who combines financial expertise with exceptional communication, integrity, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams. You will lead long-term financial strategy, acquisition and investment analysis, risk management, capital planning, and organizational growth while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities include:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the organization’s short- and long-term plans and serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on financial performance, market conditions, capital allocation, and enterprise risk.
  • Lead organizational audit planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling initiatives; provide proactive, data-driven recommendations that support growth, profitability, operational excellence, and shareholder value.

Mergers, Acquisitions, and Corporate Development

  • Manage financial evaluation, due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning for mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic opportunities.
  • Assess risks, synergies, operational impacts, and long-term value creation associated with potential transactions.

Financial Leadership and Risk Management

  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of all financial reporting and disclosures.
  • Oversee treasury management, cash flow optimization, capital structure, debt management, and liquidity planning.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate financial, operational, regulatory, and economic risks.

Board and Stakeholder Communications

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality financial presentations, reports, and recommendations to the Board of Directors while serving as a key liaison with investors, lenders, auditors, regulators, and external advisors.
  • Translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights for diverse audiences.

Financial Operations and Governance

  • Guarantee compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, governance requirements, and internal controls.
  • Oversee financial systems, reporting processes, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and decision-making capabilities.

As the successful candidate you would have 10+ years of progressive financial leadership, including time in a CFO seat. In addition, you would have a CPA and comfort operating across and within US and Canada. Multi-currency experience and International Financial Reporting Standards knowledge is critical.
