Job summary

Brio Water Technology, Inc. seeks a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead the company’s financial strategy, operations, and governance as a key member of the executive team.

The CFO will partner with the President and leaders to drive sustainable growth, manage risk, and support informed business decisions, while modernizing finance with AI and analytics. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in finance, accounting, economics, business; MBA preferred.
• CPA/CFA or equivalent designation preferred.
• 10+ years in progressive finance leadership, senior exec experience.
• Experience with FP&A, controls, cash management, and reporting.
• Experience implementing finance automation and ERP tech.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with long-term goals.
• Serve as strategic advisor to CEO/President, exec team, and Board.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, planning, and performance analysis.
• Provide timely financial reporting and actionable insights.
• Establish KPIs, targets, and governance frameworks.
• Improve month-end close process with strong controls.
• Modernize finance/accounting with AI and analytics.
• Oversee treasury, tax, audit, insurance, and controls.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage capital allocation and liquidity; support growth options.
• Lead fundraising, investor relations, and debt financing as needed.
• Support M&A, partnerships, and other corporate transactions.
• Identify and mitigate financial and enterprise risks.
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.

About the role

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team. This individual will be a strategic, hands on Chief Financial Officer to lead the company’s financial strategy, operations, and governance. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will partner with the President and Executives to drive sustainable growth, improve financial performance, manage risk, and support informed business decisions.

The successful candidate will combine strong financial expertise with commercial judgment, leadership ability, and a deep understanding of business operations.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in support of its long-term objectives.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO/President, executive team, and Board of Directors.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis.
• Provide timely, accurate financial reporting and actionable business insights.
• Establish financial targets, key performance indicators, and accountability systems.
• Lead improvements to the month end close process, establishing the controls, workflows, and cross-functional accountability required to consistently complete the financial close within 10 business days.
• Modernize finance and accounting operations using AI automation, and advanced analytics to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and accelerate decision-making.
• Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, audit, cash flow, insurance, and financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
• Manage capital allocation, working capital, liquidity, and investment decisions.
• Evaluate growth opportunities, pricing strategies, new markets, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead fundraising, debt financing, investor relations, and lender relationships, as applicable.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other corporate transactions.
• Identify and manage financial, operational, and enterprise risks.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting organization.
• Improve financial systems, processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
• Communicate financial results and strategic recommendations clearly to stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional designation is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including experience in a senior executive role.
• Demonstrated success overseeing financial planning, accounting, reporting, controls, and cash management.
• Proven experience improving and accelerating month-end close processes.
• Experience implementing finance automation, AI-enabled tools, enterprise resource planning systems, or other financial technologies.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, business modeling, and performance metrics.
• Experience supporting growth, transformation, fundraising, or complex transactions.
• Track record of building strong teams and partnering effectively across an organization.
• Experience presenting to boards, investors, lenders, or other senior stakeholders and executives.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, SAP and other Enterprise grade systems is preferred

Pay Range: The total comp range for this position is $350K - $500K annually
