POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and operations of a high-growth, multi-site physician practice management organization. The ideal candidate has successfully scaled a healthcare services platform (e.g., from ~$50M to $150M+ in revenue), brings experience working in private equity-backed environments, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will be responsible for professionalizing financial infrastructure, optimizing capital deployment, and delivering data-driven insights that guide strategic decisions. This individual will play a critical role in enabling growth, supporting provider alignment, and driving operational performance across a diverse specialty care footprint. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect and execute the company’s financial strategy to enable rapid, scalable growth — transforming finance into a competitive advantage that drives operational and clinical excellence
  • Transform month-end closing and reporting into a strategic advantage, delivering sophisticated financial intelligence that architects the financial foundation empowering clinical and operational decision-making across the organization
  • Play a key role in capital markets activity, including board presentations, capital planning, and establishing credit facilities in partnership with CPF
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across the enterprise
  • Own cash flow management, treasury operations, and working capital strategy
  • Develop and deliver board-ready reporting packages with actionable KPIs and financial dashboards
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team on long-term strategy, market expansion, and M&A evaluation
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance team to support growth and execution
  • Improve accounting practices; lead the monthly close process and prepare for audit readiness
  • Implement ERP and business intelligence tools to automate reporting and improve visibility
  • Be hands-on in solving financial challenges — from variance analysis to unit economics modeling
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison to private equity sponsors and lending partners
  • Support future capital raises, recapitalizations, and lender due diligence processes
  • Translate clinical and operational data into financial insight that informs decision-making
  • Drive system and process scalability to enable multi-site and multi-specialty expansion
  • Shape financial narratives that resonate with boards, investors, and frontline clinical teams

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of success in private equity-backed, high-growth healthcare environments. They possess a sharp ability to quickly identify infrastructure gaps and implement scalable financial systems that support growth. With a well-honed playbook for budgeting, reporting, and capital planning. This leader is a strategic partner to both the CEO and the PE sponsor, capable of delivering clear, data-driven insights that guide business decisions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Prior CFO or senior finance leadership experience in a PE-backed, multi-site healthcare services company
  • Deep understanding of physician practice economics and specialty care delivery models
  • Proven experience scaling a company from ~$50M to $150M+ in revenue
  • Functional expertise across FP&A, budgeting, treasury, and working capital optimization
  • Track record of leading system implementations (ERP, BI, financial reporting tools)
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically — from the boardroom to the back office
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop finance teams in fast-growing, resource-constrained environments
  • Experience managing relationships with private equity firms, lenders, and board members
  • Strong communication skills; able to synthesize complex financial data into compelling strategic insights
