Undisclosed Business, a well-established community bank, seeks an experienced Chief Financial Officer to guide financial strategy, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The CFO will join the executive leadership team and advise the CEO and Board on risk, capital planning, and growth.

This role oversees accounting, treasury, budgeting and reporting, chairs ALCO, and partners with auditors, regulators, and management to sustain safe, sound, and profitable performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership in financial services or banking.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting, investments, and ALM.
  • Experience collaborating with executives, boards, auditors, and regulators.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting and filings.
  • Chair ALCO and manage interest rate risk, liquidity, capital planning.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for leadership and board.
  • Manage external audits and ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Support strategic initiatives with executive leadership and board.
  • Evaluate industry trends and opportunities to enhance performance.

Job description

A well-established, community bank is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned banking executive to play a critical role in shaping the institution's financial strategy, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and long-term growth.

The CFO serves as a key advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive management team, providing leadership across finance, accounting, treasury, investment management, asset/liability management, regulatory reporting, strategic planning, budgeting, and corporate governance initiatives.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be a proven financial executive with significant experience in the banking industry and a demonstrated ability to lead complex financial organizations in a highly regulated environment. This individual will collaborate closely with executive leadership and the Board to support strategic initiatives, manage risk, and ensure the institution maintains a safe, sound, and profitable operating environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a member of the executive management team and contribute to organizational strategy and long-term planning.
  • Lead all accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, including Call Reports and other required filings.
  • Chair the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) and provide expertise in interest rate risk, liquidity management, capital planning, and investment portfolio administration.
  • Develop and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Manage external audit relationships and ensure compliance with GAAP, banking regulations, and internal controls.
  • Participate in key Board and management committees.
  • Evaluate industry trends, emerging technologies, and strategic opportunities to enhance organizational performance and shareholder value.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience within financial services, community banking, bank regulation, or a closely related industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting, investments, treasury management, asset/liability management, and bank financial operations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and banking compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience working with executive leadership teams, Boards of Directors, auditors, and regulators.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
