Job summary

International Crane Foundation seeks an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead global finances, strategy, and compliance across US, Africa, and Asia. Based at our Baraboo, Wisconsin headquarters, you will set long-range financial planning, oversee treasury, risk management, and internal controls while partnering with the CEO and Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• CPA designation
• At least five years of experience serving as a CFO or in an equivalent senior financial leadership role
• Experience with nonprofit financial management, international finance management, GAAP compliance, board reporting, budget and forecasting, audit management, and staff leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy and long-range planning for a global nonprofit.
• Oversee enterprise risk management, internal controls, and treasury management.
• Ensure financial compliance and organizational stability across international programs.
• Provide board reporting and governance support to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Join the International Crane Foundation (ICF) and be part of a global non-profit organization dedicated to protecting cranes and the ecosystems, watersheds, and landscapes they call home. Our global headquarters is located in Baraboo, WI, located on 250 acres and surrounded by beautiful restored native prairies. We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer to provide leadership for global financial management, planning, compliance, and stewardship across ICF's international programs and operations to support our conservation goals.

This full-time position offers a starting annual salary between $140,000 - 150,000. The CFO serves as a key strategic advisor to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Board of Directors, leading financial strategy, long-range financial planning, enterprise risk management, internal controls, treasury management, financial compliance, and organizational stability. You will lead and mentor a talented international finance team that supports operations in the United States, Africa, and Asia, ensuring financial practices remain effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
