Job summary

Millsaps College seeks a forward-thinking Vice President for Finance and Administration to drive financial strategy, operations, and institutional sustainability. As a member of the president’s leadership team, you will align finance, HR, IT, and facilities with Millsaps’ strategic goals while stewarding resources for student success and program excellence.

The VPFA will partner with the board and senior leaders to ensure financial resilience, responsible investment, and effective operations

Qualifications

Significant experience in financial planning, budgeting, accounting, investments, and endowment management.
Experience leading HR, IT, facilities, and operations in a complex organization.
Proven ability to report clearly to the President and Board with prudent governance.
Higher education experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead long-range financial planning, forecasting, scenario analysis, and financial modeling.
Direct operating and capital budgets, accounting, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls.
Oversee cash management, investments, endowment administration, debt, and banking relationships.
Provide oversight for student accounts, purchasing, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
Develop transparent financial reporting to inform leadership and trustees.
