Job summary

Ardent Credit Union in Philadelphia, a member-owned financial cooperative, seeks a strategic, forward-thinking CEO to sustain growth and guide innovation in e-banking solutions. The Board of Directors will partner with the CEO to set short- and long-term goals, deploy technology, and strengthen community outreach.

The incoming leader will build a high-performing management team, advance employee engagement, and align operations with Ardent’s mission and values while navigating industry changes

Qualifications

• A business-related degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of fifteen (15) years in a related executive-level position.

• Lead the Board in establishing goals, strategies, and plans to deploy potential technologies and outreach in the communities Ardent Credit Union serves.
• Sustain growth momentum and develop a high-performing management team while aligning with the organization’s vision, mission, and core values.
• Advance employee engagement and foster a member-service culture across the organization.
• Advise the Board and Senior Management on strategic initiatives, mergers & acquisitions, and partnerships as appropriate.

The Board of Directors is seeking an experienced executive to sustain its growth momentum, articulate a clear vision for the organization, and enable the Credit Union to achieve its membership and asset growth goals while continuing to provide innovative product enhancements to ensure the future success of e-banking solutions.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will work in a consultative partnership with the Board of Directors and the Senior Management team to establish short and long-term goals, strategies, and plans, and to deploy potential technologies and outreach in the communities Ardent Credit Union serves.

The incoming CEO will lead and motivate efforts to advance employee engagement and develop a high-performing management team that will propel the Credit Union’s member service culture while instilling alignment with the organization's vision, mission, and core values. A knowledge of the Credit Union’s market position and competitive advantage within its preferred strategic and operational framework is a must. Adapting to and flourishing amid new industry, economic, and competitive realities while serving as the Ambassador to foster the brand within the community, is an essential requirement for the incoming CEO.

A business-related degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of fifteen (15) years in a related executive-level position, demonstrating a forward-thinking strategic mindset and success in execution, is required. Experience working with Credit Union Service Organizations (CUSOs) and/or Mergers & Acquisitions is preferred.
