Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Head of Exchange Infrastructure to own the layer that powers all Kraken products, including matching engine, core infrastructure, custody, and APIs. You will lead a team of four to five product managers and partner with an engineering manager to drive a cohesive, high-performance platform.

You will define the long-term roadmap, ensure low latency and high reliability, and work across product, engineering, risk, and compliance to stay ahead in the crypto markets.

Qualifications

• Senior product leader with experience managing product managers
• Proven ability to set vision and translate into long-term roadmaps
• Strong understanding of high-performance exchange platforms
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the exchange layer.
• Lead and grow a team of product managers (4–5) and set the bar for product craft.
• Consolidate multiple matching engines into one, starting with US derivatives.
• Build interface-agnostic platforms to serve all products and interfaces.
• Define success metrics (latency, throughput, uptime) and hold teams accountable.
• Partner with engineering and risk teams to sequence migrations without disrupting live markets.
• Align cross-functional teams around the exchange strategy.
