Hamilton Mayer is recruiting for a highly qualified Chief Estimator to spearhead the expansion of the Tunneling Division within a leading general contractor ranked among the top #25 by ENR.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead, review, and sign off on all estimating activities for tunneling projects.
2. Thoroughly review contract plans, specifications, and other bid documents.
3. Supervise estimating personnel for tunneling bids.
4. Identify major items in RFQs & RFPs.
5. Solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
6. Prepare HCSS comparison sheets.
7. Identify D/M/WBE requirements and prepare compliance plans.
8. Develop clear write-ups and documentation for proposals.
9. Prepare bid and proposal submission documents.
10. Set up JV manual for Joint Venture bids.
11. Price bid items and review with project team.
12. Timeline equipment procurement and logistics.
13. Assign and monitor take-off estimators.
14. Maintain communication with stakeholders throughout bid process.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of tunneling and heavy civil project experience.
• 5+ years of estimating experience on tunneling projects.
• 5+ years of team leadership/supervision in estimating.
• Experience with HCSS, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar software.
• Willingness to travel up to 15-20%.
