A chief estimator manages the process of estimating costs for construction projects. They create budgets and bids, and lead a team of estimators.

Chief Estimator

Oversees and manages the estimating team and all its functions, responsible for the overall performance of the department. The estimating team focuses on environmental and fuel facility-focused projects and services. Experience in Pump and Tank Industry is a real plus.

• Accountable for managing, motivating, and training the estimating team, ensuring all estimates are submitted accurately, consistently, and timely for the Construction and Service Business Units.
• Preparing a portion of the construction and service estimates.

Qualifications

• Must have estimating experience in the construction, environmental, or similar industry.
• Must be detail-oriented while also able to work quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to manage and generate project estimates for projects ranging from $25,000 up to $5,000,000.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge of Cost Estimating Software.
• Ability to read plans and other project documents.
