Role encompasses data warehouse/lake design, ETL, metadata, dashboards, predictive analytics, real-time reporting, ML/AI, and interop with security teams. Hybrid role with DC metro site support requires active clearance. Competitive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 6 years can substitute the degree.
• Minimum 10 years in data architecture, BI development, or BI management.
• Active clearance: Q or Top Secret (or within last 6 months).
• Experience with enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, BI, ETL, metadata, governance.

Overview

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Chief Enterprise Architect (Business Intelligence) to support the DOE EHSS Application, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity Support (AICS) program

AICS enables secure, reliable, and data-driven operations across the DOE enterprise through application modernization, DevSecOps, Zero Trust implementation, continuous monitoring, and infrastructure sustainment supporting EHSS’s environment, health, safety, security, and classification missions.

This is a hybrid role with potential support of multiple DOE sites in the DC metro area.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise application, data, BI, integration, and information-management architecture aligned with DOE/EHSS requirements.
• Design data warehouse, data lake, ETL, data models, metadata, governance, dashboard, predictive analytics, real-time reporting, ML, and AI solutions.
• Coordinate architecture decisions with program managers, developers, database staff, data teams, cybersecurity personnel, EITS, and cloud providers.
• Diagnose architecture and BI operational issues and guide secure, accessible, interoperable solution designs.
• Lead software lifecycle practices including automated testing, documentation, version control, and change, release, and configuration management.
• Prepare or review architecture, requirements, design, risk, labor-estimate, technical-proposal, test, release, operations, and transition artifacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field. 6 years of experience can be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree (included as part of the experience requirement, not additional).
• Minimum 10 years of data architecture, BI development, or BI management experience.
• Must have an active Q clearance, Top Secret clearance or a Q within the last 6 months.
• Enterprise data warehouse, data lake, BI, ETL, metadata, high-volume processing, data modeling, and governance experience.
• Dashboard, visualization, predictive analytics, real-time reporting, and ML/AI experience.
• Experience integrating data security/authentication and web accessibility requirements.
• TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent preferred.
