Job summary

Delaware Nation Industries seeks a seasoned Strategic Architect to translate business objectives into scalable enterprise network architectures and roadmaps across routing, switching, data centers, AI/ML, and cloud-native integrations.

You will drive Cisco ecosystem innovations, establish governance, and lead workshops for high-level and detailed designs while mentoring senior engineers and ensuring global security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 15 years as a principal engineer, architect, or senior technical leader in large-scale enterprise or hyperscale environments.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Top-tier certifications such as Cisco CCA (Cisco Certified Architect) or CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert).
• Extensive knowledge in Cisco ACI, Nexus, SD-WAN, and cloud integrations with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business objectives into scalable, resilient, and future-ready enterprise network architectures.
• Define target-state architecture and long-term technical roadmaps for routing, switching, data center, AI/ML, and cloud-native integrations.
• Drive innovation across the Cisco ecosystem to align between physical on-premises networks and software-defined overlay architectures.
• Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and governance frameworks for global compliance, security, and availability.
• Lead technical discovery workshops, high-level designs, and low-level designs for strategic enterprise accounts.
• Oversee multi-architecture solution requirements, including licensing, BOMs, and managed services integrations.
• Advise executive leadership on architectural ROI, risk mitigation, and digital transformation.
• Mentor senior engineering talent and conduct architectural reviews.

Strategic Architecture & Vision

• Translate complex business objectives into scalable, resilient, and future-ready enterprise network architectures.
• Define target-state architecture and long-term technical roadmaps for routing, switching, data center, AI and machine learning, and cloud-native integrations.
• Drive innovation across the Cisco ecosystem to ensure alignment between physical on-premises networks and software-defined overlay architectures.

Technical Governance & Standardization

• Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and governance frameworks to ensure global compliance, security, and high availability.
• Lead Technical Discovery Workshops, High-Level Designs, and Low-Level Designs for strategic enterprise accounts.
• Oversee multi-architecture solution requirements, including licensing, bills of materials, and managed services integrations.

Executive Leadership & Thought Leadership

• Advise executive leadership and key customer stakeholders on architectural return on investment, risk mitigation, and digital transformation.
• Serve as a recognized Subject Matter Expert, contributing to industry thought leadership through publications, white papers, patents, and participation in technology standards bodies.
• Enhance the technical maturity of the organization by mentoring senior engineering talent and conducting thorough architectural reviews.
