Job summary

Houston Grand Opera is seeking a Director of Enterprise Analytics Engineering to design and build the data infrastructure powering its strategic initiatives. This hands-on leadership role will own the Snowflake-based data warehouse, dbt transformations, and a modern BI/AI layer, guiding architecture and a growing analytics team.

You'll work directly with executive leadership to translate business needs into trusted data, drive revenue analytics across donor and ticketing functions, and shape how

Qualifications

• 7+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI, or related roles.
• Experience leading analytics projects and teams; nonprofit or mission-driven org is a plus.
• Experience building or migrating to a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred) and deploying enterprise BI tools.
• Ability to collaborate with executives and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the grant-funded enterprise data warehouse project on Snowflake with dbt, and oversee the analytics engineering architecture.
• Build and lead a growing analytics team to meet organizational needs.
• Partner with leadership to define metrics for the 2035 Strategic Vision and Campaign.
• Drive donor analytics, campaign reporting, and revenue forecasting with cross-functional teams.
• Define future-state workflows and identify AI opportunities grounded in business needs.
