Job summary

Katalyst in the United States is seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide the aerospace program and ensure rigor across spacecraft, payloads, software, and mission delivery. You will shape the engineering operating model and lead managers to drive fast yet robust execution in a multi-disciplinary environment.

The role requires a strong track record in system integration, architecture decisions, and cross-functional collaboration with product, operations, manufacturing, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree is preferred but not required.
• 10+ years of experience developing complex aerospace, spacecraft, defense, robotics, autonomous, or other mission-critical hardware/software systems, including substantial engineering leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Own the effectiveness of the engineering organization and the technical quality of spacecraft, payload, software, and mission-delivery work across programs.
• Set an engineering operating model with clear decision rights, ownership, review expectations, and interfaces.
• Lead and develop engineering leaders; build an organization where leaders can make decisions independently.
• Ensure architectures and baselines are coherent, traceable, and executable across systems and subsystems.
• Drive disciplined technical decision-making considering objectives, needs, schedule, cost, reliability, and risk.
