Job description

Most people already have enough apps. What they need is help getting things done.

At hussh, we are building One Agent: a private personal agent designed to work across the tools and environments people already use. Our goal is to help people save time, save money, and discover opportunities to earn, while keeping them in control of their data and the actions their agent can take.

We are a product and engineering company with a serious commercial ambition. We want to build something people rely on and a distribution network that makes it accessible across America. That requires researchers who can prove what works, engineers who can make it dependable, and business leaders who can turn customer value into lasting growth.

Turn product and technical priorities into dependable delivery. Build an engineering organization that makes clear commitments, ships useful work, and supports what it releases.

What you will own
  • Own engineering people management, staffing, delivery planning, technical program management, release operations, and incident execution.
  • Maintain one delivery plan with owners, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and capacity. Expose tradeoffs early and remove persistent blockers.
  • Develop engineering managers and a sustainable operating cadence. Ensure releases include observability, support readiness, and recovery plans.
Your first 90 days
  • 30 days: establish a delivery baseline, assign owners to active work, and resolve the most consequential ownership gaps.
  • 60 days: implement a release cadence and recovery process; complete the first prioritized milestone against explicit acceptance criteria.
  • 90 days: demonstrate improved delivery predictability and lower rework without increasing incidents or overloading the team.
Success measures:

Accepted milestones delivered; lead time; blocked work age; change failure rate; time to recover; rework; team capacity health.

Evidence we look for:

Experience leading technical teams through shipping, operational incidents, and organizational growth. Must be able to explain missed commitments and how the delivery system improved.

Interview work sample:

Build a six-week recovery plan from an overloaded roadmap. Identify what to defer, assign accountable owners, and explain the release decision when quality and schedule conflict.

Scope:

The CPO sets product priority, and the CTO sets technical direction. This officer owns the people, capacity, and delivery process needed to execute both.

How we work:

This role is based at the Kirkland Garage, 1021 5th St W, Kirkland, WA 98033. We work in the office together five days a week. Remote work is available only by exception, arranged individually around specific circumstances.

Pay:

The proposed US annual base salary range is $325,000 - $475,000. The role is also eligible for target variable compensation of 30% of base, an initial equity award and our benefits program, subject to the applicable plans. The final offer reflects role scope and demonstrated experience. Equity value and variable pay are not guaranteed.

Equity:

Every full-time teammate gets stock options. Four-year vesting with a one-year cliff, sized to role, level and impact, and confirmed in writing at offer. High performers earn refresh grants.

Health and peace of mind:

Medical, dental and vision for you and your family, plus life and disability cover. We have chosen the highest plan tier available to us rather than the cheapest one that clears the bar, because the point of this is that you never have to think about it. The specific plan numbers are confirmed in your offer letter.

401(k) with company matching:

A 401(k) with a company match, so the years you spend here compound into something that is yours whatever happens next. The match formula is confirmed in your offer letter.

AI tokens:

A budget of AI tokens of your own, because a company that says you should own your AI cannot be the company that rations it. Use them on the work and on whatever you are curious about.

Gym, and the everyday things:

A gym membership, and a corporate benefits programme with its own app, where you redeem real discounts with a long list of retailers on the ordinary purchases of a life.

Family:

Remote work may be approved by exception around specific family circumstances, arranged one person at a time.

Referrals:

Refer someone we hire full-time who stays a year and you get $1,000 plus $10,000 in referral stock-based equity, on top of your own package.
