Job summary

Comfort Suites Near Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a Chief Engineer to manage the maintenance operations of the property. You will take ownership of preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems while upholding Buffalo Lodging Associates values of Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Inclusion.

The role requires at least three years of supervisory or lead mechanic experience in a hotel or related field, with strong mechanical skills and the ability to supervise

Qualifications

• At least three years of supervisory or lead mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
• General mechanical skills are necessary for daily maintenance and repairs.
• Basic repair, painting, HVAC, electrical work, plumbing and boiler operation are required.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and appealing property by performing routine preventative maintenance on laundry equipment, HVAC systems, and safety devices.
• Maintain and track work orders; follow up on incomplete tasks and inform requesting guests or departments of status.
• Evaluate and select reliable vendors offering good value.
• Supervise on-site Maintenance Assistant, including hiring, training, perfomance appraisals, and scheduling.
